NIST said Monday the proposed publications suggest the deployment of virtual mobile infrastructure and mobile device management platforms in order to bolster data security in BYOD and telework devices.
âTo prevent breaches when people are teleworking, organizations need to have stronger control over their sensitive data that can be accessed by, or stored on, telework devices,â said Murugiah Souppaya, a computer scientist at NIST.
The guides also urge enterprises to set up a separate network for BYOD program and encourage teleworkers to adopt approaches on how to ensure security of corporate data.
Public comments on the draft publications are due April 15.
