Cassidy will succeed Tim Henseler as he transitions to a new role as chief of the corporation finance division’s office of enforcement liaison, tjhe SEC said Monday.
âKeith is a committed public servant and dedicated member of our military. His tremendous knowledge of both the securities laws and Congress are real assets to the SEC,â said SEC Chair Mary Jo White.
âKeith consistently provides wise counsel, and I look forward to continuing to work with him in protecting Americaâs investors and markets.â
Prior to this appointment, Cassidy was the deputy director of the office of legislative and intergovernmental affairs since 2011 where he advised the chair, commissioners and other SEC staff with regards to legislative matters.
Cassidy also served as the chief of staff and counsel at the Justice Departmentâs office of legislative affairs, legislative assistant in the U.S. Senate and as a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.
