The U.S. Air Force‘s Air Mobility Command has transported AH-64 Apache helicopters to Ramstein Air Base in Germany as part of a U.S.-led effort to help NATO allies maintain peace and stability in the Atlantic region.

The U.S. European Command said Wednesday that C-5 Galaxy aircraft delivered AH-64  units to Ramstein AB and will also deliver UH-60 Black Hawks to Latvia in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve.

“The continued rapid and responsive logistics efforts of Operation Atlantic Resolve should assure our European allies in maintaining a Europe that is whole, free, prosperous and at peace,” said Col. Todd Bertulis, deputy director of logistics at EUCOM.

EUCOM added the Air Force’s strategic airlift service offers global air transportation capacity to help the European Command move helicopters from various home stations.
