DNC said in a job posting the CTO will directly report to the committee’s executive director, oversee technology programs, build up data and analytics infrastructure, modernize technology platforms and collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate innovation within the party.
The selected candidate will also manage all employees within the committeeâs technology department that is responsible for the partyâs network infrastructure, data warehouse and national voter file, analytics platform, external campaign software and related tools and information security training.
The incumbent will also set up strategic objectives for technology assets that the committee offers to state parties, campaigns and related committees.
DNC Chair Tom Perez called for the appointment of a chief cybersecurity officer in January following the Russia-linked hack of the partyâs emails during the 2016 presidential elections, the report added.
