Dustin Brown: New OMB Guidance Aims to Scale Back Agency Reporting Requirements

1 min read

The Office of Management and Budget will issue a memo that seeks to reduce reporting requirements and cumbersome activities for government agencies, Federal News Radio reported Tuesday.

Dustin Brown, deputy assistant director for management at OMB, said during a panel discussion at the American Council for Technology-Industry Advisory Council’s conference in Washington that OMB plans to release the new guidance on Thursday.

The guidance that contains an initial evaluation of government requirements is one of the four focus areas of President Donald Trump’s Management Agenda.

Brown also discussed with Margie Graves, deputy federal chief information officer at OMB, other priorities in the president’s Management Agenda.

These include efforts to ramp up category management, shared services and other mission-support functions as well as performance measurement and accountability measures, the report added.
