The General Services Administration and National Archives and Records Administration officially unveiled a market research tool to help agencies identify electronic records management platforms that meet their requirements, Nextgov reported Thursday.
The ERM tool provides information on contractors for 11 record types, including desktop applications, electronic messages, cloud, databases and digital media. The two agencies have also announced the launch of a new special item number â SIN 51 600 â for ERM products and services under GSAâs Schedule 36.
âSIN 51 600Â provides a comprehensive capability to solve the complex challenges posed by the movement, manipulation, archiving, security, and management of electronic records,â according to GSAâs Discovery website. âThis SIN also includes any ancillary supplies and/or services necessary to provide a total electronic records management solution.â
