Millisa Gary, former procurement ombudsman at the General Services Administration, will go on to serve as program executive of AbilityOne, a government-led procurement effort to create more job opportunities for disabled Americans.
She holds the task to ensure GSA awards fair-priced AbilityOne contracts, updates service offerings and supports the mission to employ for disabled U.S. citizens, Jeff Koses, the agency’s senior procurement executive, wrote in a blog posted Monday.
“I want to thank Millisa Gary for her great work as GSAâs first procurement ombudsman,” Koses said. “Millisa created the ombudsman program and used the role to improve the state of GSAâs partnership with industry,” he added.
Maria Swaby, former suspension and debarment and agency protest official at GSA, will succeed Gary as procurement ombudsman.Â
Swaby formerly held roles in the private sector where she helped a large firm land a spot on GSA’s multiple awards schedule vehicle.
