Denise Turner Roth, head of the General Services Administration, told Federal Times in an interview published Monday that she expects the Technology Transformation Service to help GSA demonstrate how emerging technology platforms could be applied in the government space.

“So that’s everything from the implementation, the exploration of what’s coming on deck for technology that can be applied in government and then understanding how we can actually make it be adaptive use,” Roth told Federal Times senior staff reporter Carten Cordell.

TSS is an organization within GSA that works to help federal agencies build, procure and share technology applications, software platforms and processes in order to facilitate delivery of services to the public.

Roth, an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 for 2016, said that GSA plans to appoint a new TSS commissioner by the end of September.

She also cited GSA’s efforts to promote government-industry collaboration and initiatives to modernize its multiple-award schedules in an effort to facilitate the acquisition process for agencies.
