Robert McMahon to Be Nominated DoD Assistant Secretary for Logistics, Materiel Readiness

Robert McMahon, a retired U.S. Air Force major general and current president of real estate company Fickling Management Services, will be nominated as assistant secretary for logistics and materiel readiness at the Defense Department.

McMahon previously served as director of C-17 field operations at Boeing and as president and CEO at the 21st Century Partnership, the White House said Tuesday.

His military career has included roles as commander of the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center and 309th Maintenance Wing, as well as director of logistics at USAF’s headquarters and Air Mobility Command.

He is also a member of State Bank and Trust‘s board of directors, Mercer University’s National Engineering Advisory Board and Robins Air Force Base Museum of Aviation Foundation.

The ASD L&MR position oversees logistics, materiel readiness, strategic mobility, sustainment support and  maintenance programs at the Pentagon.
