Brig. Gen. Michael Griener, director of cost analysis integration within the U.S. Air Force, has been appointed to oversee the service branch’s budget operations and personnel as director. He will perform his new duties within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management and Comptroller, the Department of Defense said Monday.
Griener oversaw the use of over $110 billion in major procurement efforts to support USAF planning and budgeting. He also contributed service to a number of major military operations including Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. The brigadier general has been with the U.S. military since 1992.
